05.01.05 - Sony hat im Dezember 2004 in Japan 510.000 Einheiten des PSP an den Handel ausgeliefert. Das meldet die Nachrichtenagentur Reuters. Damit übertrifft das Unternehmen seine Prognose für diesen Zeitraum um 10.000 Einheiten.
An dem Vorhaben, bis Ende März 2005 weltweit 3 Mio. auszuliefern, hält Sony fest. Allerdings betont Ken Kutaragi, Präsident und CEO von Sony CE, dass es angesichts von Schwierigkeiten bei der Beschaffung wichtiger Halbleiterkomponenten eine Herausforderung sein wird, dieses Ziel zu erreichen.
Dies sei auch der Grund, warum die hohe Nachfrage nicht gedeckt werden kann. 'Ich wusste, dass wir wenig Hardware haben würden, doch wir haben mehr Spiele als erwartet verkauft', kommentiert Kutaragi laut Bloomberg.

ach hör doch auf....nur weil die spiele nix besonderes sind heisst es noch lange nicht, dass sie mich nicht ablenken können, wenn sich bei mir langeweile auftut. ich will da kein zeugs...ich brauch da ein autorennen bei dem ich rundenlang nach ner bestzeit hasche, so vergeht die Zeit und ich wurde gut unterhalten.

Microsoft-Gründer Bill Gates hat auf der CES bereits Kooperationen unter anderem mit MTV, TiVo und Yahoo bekannt gegeben. Nun werde eine Allianz mit den Japanern erwogen, schreibt das Wall Street Journal. Dabei gehe es unter anderem um den Vertrieb von digitaler Musik und um die Entwicklung von Techniken zum Vermeiden von unerlaubten Kopien. Gates hatte im November zwar Apple als Vorreiter gelobt, meinte aber auch, die Musik-Liebhaber bräuchten Auswahlmöglichkeiten. Hmm hab das eben mit den Akkuzeiten nochmal gelesen. Weiß jemand oder traut sich jemand zu schätzen, was Zusatzakkus kosten werden in EUROLAND?
Weil das scheint mir das wichtigste Accessoire zu sein.
Da kann es sich schon lohnen, 2-3 Zusatzakkus zu haben...

Hab einiges wieder vergessen, gab es da einen Unterschied zu mehreren Zusatzakkus?
Hm, stylischer sieht die PSP im vergleich zum IPod schon aus, finde ich, nur fehlt noch das Speichervermoegen. Wenn Sony die Speichersticks mit 10Gb+ herstellt, dann koennte es was werden, vorher eher nicht. Und eine externe USB Festplatte zusaetzlich zur PSP mitschleppen wird auf dauer langweilig

Dann würde ne PSP incl. 10GB-MemStick allerdings 10xsoviel kosten wie ein IPod
BTW: Frisst die PSP eigentlich auch MemSticks von SanDisk (die ja wesentlich günstiger sind) oder ist man auch da auf Sony angewiesen? Die Preise der original MemSticks sind nämlich eine Frechheit!
